2025 Annual Year Enamel Trinket Box

In celebration of our 75th anniversary, our 2025 annual year box is inspired by the Greek legend of “Alycone and Ceyx,” from which the Halcyon Days name is derived. 

The legend tells the story of Aeolus, father of Alcyone, who, every January, calmed the winds and waves so that his daughter, in the form of a kingfisher, could safely build her nest. Hence, the term “halcyon days” came to signify a period of great peace and blissful contentment.

The lid of this box depicts Alcyone swooping down over her beloved Ceyx. This box has been beautifully handcrafted in England by Halcyon Days artisans and is the 49th edition of this cherished annual tradition.
