Product description
This card features a watercolor illustration of blue-footed boobies by Daniel Mackie. It is printed on high quality 330gsm / 120 lb heavy cardstock, and left blank inside for a personal message.
The blue-footed booby usually lays one to three eggs at a time. Unusually the eggs are incubated as they are laid, not like most other species where the incubation starts when the last egg is laid. The chicks do not hatch at the same time: this results in a growth inequality and size disparity between siblings. This makes the blue-footed booby an important model for studying parent–offspring conflict and sibling rivalry.
