A Scottish heart-shaped brooch, sterling silver with a unique, multicolored Heathergem stone made from dried, dyed, and compressed Perthshire heather stems, the luckenbooth brooch is a traditional Scottish love token often given as a wedding gift. Luckenbooths were shops in Edinburgh, situated on the Royal Mile. They were the city's first permanent shops housing jewelry workers and other trades, dating from the 16th century.
