This is an original design by Joanna Scott-McCarthy, the daughter of a Wild Goose Studio co-founder. It has a carefully polished pure bronze finish with a ceramic resin cold cast core.

A symbol of life itself, the tree—with its roots drawing up nourishment from the earth, its trunk soaring skyward, and its branches reaching out towards the heavens—is also a symbol of family and relationship. The family tree connects us to our past, rooting us in the ground from which we have come. The flowering branches speak of our future, new possibilities, and the next generations. The trunk is where we are now, bridging past and future, weathering changes. The trunk is the individual, while the roots and branches link us to the larger system of the planet, the extended human family to which we all belong. In a real sense, all life is interrelated.

Wild Goose Studio is a family-run business in Kinsale, County Cork, Ireland, that has been creating hand-crafted art pieces since 1970. The studio collaborates with Irish artists inspired by Irish history, mythology, and Celtic art.
