The Glencairn Mixer was originally developed by Glencairn Crystal Studio in consultation with the Canadian whisky industry who wanted to be able to appreciate their whisky with a mixer or ice. The glass also incorporates a tulip shape to enhance the nosing function while the tapered lip assists in directing the liquid to the tip of the tongue for the appreciation of the sweeter notes.
