    Since 1793, Rye Pottery has produced everything by hand using a 17th-century decorating technique known as Faience, Majolica, or Delft. They refer to the method as English Delftware. Each piece undergoes at least 12 hand processes in their Sussex workshops before reaching the finished state. The freehand brushwork demonstrated by their talented painting team is at the heart of this process. This increasingly rare production style, combined with its beautiful color palette and sculptural shapes, creates a look that is quintessentially Rye Pottery.
